Our night softgels do have an odor resulting from L-Cysteine, a highly beneficial sulphur-containing amino acid which has a host of wonderful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial benefits.
Due to its sulfur content, L-Cysteine can smell (like bad eggs) and unfortunately even with masking agents, which we do not use as they would add chemicals to our formulation, it would still be detectable. Please be assured that if L-Cysteine were not such a hugely beneficial addition to Morning & Night, it would have been ruled out because of the smell. Your softgels are completely safe to consume. We've found that once they're out of the bottle and into your refillable jars, the smell is hardly noticeable when taking your nightly dose. It can also help to put your jars in the dishwasher to freshen up before refilling.
I have noticed a strong smell when opening my pouches, is this normal?
